Not a jacket, but I've found the best deal on collapsible umbrellas at Wal-Mart, though I finally had to ask where they were.

Re: Help me find a bargain thread
Columbia was my first thought -- we have a couple. I like the packable hood on that model you linked to. I wish my own Columbia had better ventilation, although I chose my model for its better waterproofing at the cost of ventilation. I can wish, though.ManOnTime wrote: ↑Tue Jan 22, 2019 9:16 amI don't know how you define cheap, but this Columbia jacket always gets good reviews.

I actually liked that movie, but I think Glass has got to be one of the worst ideas ever.

I’ll probably just buy whatever they have off of steepandcheap.com.

Oh yeah. That’s the place. I see several for $25 or less that will work.cel4145 wrote:You might also try Sierra Trading Post: https://www.sierratradingpost.com/all/s ... owestPriceRobotaz wrote: ↑Tue Jan 22, 2019 8:45 pmI will need a hood and also to be longer.ManOnTime wrote:

Thank you!
I used to stalk them for deals for about a year solid. They often have great prices on last year's models or unpopular colors. Good for camping and other outdoor equipment, too.

Seiko Men's SNK809 used to be able to find around $60 less with discounts now the best is $85 mostly out of stock at other places

Re: Help me find a bargain thread
Yea, it's definitely strange how the prices have gone up and stayed up. I thought it would be a very temporary thing and then the prices would be back to $60-70 everywhere when new stock came in. But there are still decent options. What I would do if I were you is to buy the bracelet version from creationwatches on eBay. They currently have 10% off so the total drops to $67.50 when you add it to your cart. I've made quite a few purchases from them and have never had any problems. Also, I've owned this watch and I think you aren't missing anything if you don't get the strap. If you don't like the bracelet you could buy a different nylon strap/NATO a brown leather strap, which is how I think this watch look best.

Just an FYI, ended up going to creation watches website using code FD98F for 5% off of $70 which brought it down to 66.50 on bracelet, not bad, thanks.Walzon1 wrote:Seiko Men's SNK809 used to be able to find around $60 less with discounts now the best is $85 mostly out of stock at other places

Re: Help me find a bargain thread
Interesting that it has the same model name as the strap version. I suppose I've never seen one sold with a bracelet. But what caught my eye was Creation's listing saying it comes with the first movement iteration, 7S26A. Wasn't that the one that had the hairspring problem? I know the Etachron (ETA's "ETA-Chron") regulator didn't arrive until the 7S26B.yinzburgher wrote: ↑Wed Jan 23, 2019 10:12 am ... I'm not trying to throw cold water if this is a reasonable deal still, just curious tho.

Re: Help me find a bargain thread
Not sure. Honestly, I wasn't aware there was a problem or a big difference. Creation sells a lot of watches so I'd guess they don't have many older generation Seikos still in their stock room. The listing for this watch on their site says 7S26c.deckeda wrote: ↑Thu Jan 24, 2019 10:25 pmInteresting that it has the same model name as the strap version.
