I believe the other time of year they have this sale is right after Father's Day. It's too late for y'all to replicate it now, but there is usually a pre-Christmas gift card sale (this year it was buy $150, get $25), so if you know in advance what you're looking to buy, the best savings I've achieved is to buy those gift cards right before Christmas, get the bonus cards, hold on to all the codes for a few days, then spend them during the current semi-annual sale just after Christmas.

HM, a Swedish based fashion chain with a lot of USA/Canada stores, with mostly 'hip' style inexpensive clothing, but also some nice office appropriate wear mostly for ladies college age and under age 45-50, has some incredibly reduced nice stuff. I thought I did well there before Xmas, but yesterday my wife and I killed on bargains on nice ladies wear, dresses, blouses, slacks, sweaters, dress jackets etc. Guy's section not half as good--not their main focus. I guess a lot of places are trying to hit as high a sales mark as possible before 2019 arrives.

I suspect that your suspicion that I'm right, although suspect is most likely accurate.

Coach is having up to 50% sale on some items on its US website.

Watchgooroo on Ebay always seems to have some pretty good sales on sunglasses as well. Her Oakley and Ray Ban prices are the lowest I've seen.
