Since this is already on my wrist and I'm just finding out about this thread, I happen to be compliant with NATO Thursday!

Glad you made it bud! And compliant on day one to boot. I had a feeling I would be seeing you around these parts. Welcome to the Legion!

Two Crown Thursday compliant. One of my first watch purchases and still love it. Definitely on the large side for the time, but perfect for today at 40mm.

Going to some kind of free dinner with a friend. Busting out blue suede shoes and the beautiful Bulova Gemini. 1 crown with 2 pushers is 2 crowns right?!

Does a 5600 G-Shock count as having 2 crowns?

Sounds good to me. What good are guidelines if you can’t flex them around a bit.

Not proud of that one, but I couldn’t keep it in.

2 pushers = one crown + one crown = 2 crowns. Yep, the math checks out. I'll allow it!

If we count pushers as crowns I’m back in the game! Is that what you two were referring to? Doesn’t bother me either way, plus I suppose we have a week to figure out the rules.

Sure!
But also trying to get across that guidelines are simply guidelines. A watch on the wrist is still better to look at than no post at all. You'll be accepted regardless of compliance.
Plus it's more fun breaking the rules than following them imo . But what do I know? I've got about 8 glasses of red wine in me right now

Whatever name this thread ends up with, I think it should be followed with (The Askofu Memorial Thread). Charles was quite an amazing man, and I'm delighted that you mentioned him.

Anyway, imagine my delight when purely by chance, my watch today was compliant: Image

Tap. Talk. Buy a watch. Repeat.

I am happy, but not surprised, to see someone else here that Askofu had such an effect on. Rule #1 is already known as the "Wiggins rule", but I would be happy to designate the first line of the thread following the name to him. Great idea. Also, good job on the compliance and. . .

LWDS (The Legion of Watch Deal Seekers)

-Grand Loyal Order of Watch Steals (GLOWS)
-Loyal Order of Watch Steals (LOWS)
-Legion of Extraordinary Watch Deal Seekers (LEWDS), that is a bit diluted, but I think that was the acronym you liked.

It is Friday, and I am comfortable here since most of my watches are field-type.

While I don’t have a problem with Timex Tuesday, maybe it could be Timex/Tool watch Tuesday. That may be making it a little easy with five watches and such, but I do love a good tool watch. Tool watch is also very broad, so it might not work. Heck, my FIL’s OP counts as he was a banker and his watch was an appropriate tool for him. It also has a bunch of tool watch elements (lume, drilled lugs, screw down crown...).
