Re: The Street Art / Graffiti / Tagging thread
And an important life lesson.
Re: The Street Art / Graffiti / Tagging thread
Great idea. TONS of good stuff in NYC. Some that change monthly.
For now, this is The only picture I have of "tagging". It's my laptop. I'm waiting for a MoT sticker to fill that open space. Anything in the works ManOnTime?!

Funny you should say that. I'm thinking of hiring a designer on Fiver or similar to create a logo for the site that I can use for branding.

Okay, I believe the statute of limitations has passed, so I am good. I spent a good chunk of my adolescence on my skateboard with a backpack full of cans and paint markers with some buddies. So many fun times and got to meet some really talented writers. I really need to dig up my old sketch book and will post some pics here if I find It.(I won't post any pictures of ACTUAL graffiti, because I never did any. . .allegedly [emoji6])
Anyways, here is something quick I came up with for an MoT sticker. Cut me some slack, this was just a quick bubble and I effing hate trying to do Ts in this style. If there is any interest, I may go back to my roots and come up with more.

Can't find my old sketch book with my and a bunch of other guys stuff, but I did find an old high school binder that had a couple of cool pieces.

Some more...the entire tunnel has this artist’s work. He spent days an nights there with a boombox, a case of spray paints and packs of cigarettes. We actually saw him a few times while he was working. Obviously he had permission for this work. In Munich the city does this in most of the tunnels (allows local graffiti artists to paint the tunnels). I will have to find them, but I have some from other tunnels and artists as well.

That is seriously impressive. The depth achieved using a simple spray can is ridiculous. Some people have some SERIOUS talent.watchpalooza wrote:One of several in a tunnel here near our apartment:

Damn man. I was gonna ask where Sdelka was in all this and BAM! Final shot. Amazingly well done, and it is very cool that they allow such artists to display their work and embrace it rather than buff it. Really impressive stuff there.watchpalooza wrote:One from Bokum this past weekend:
